ISLAMABAD: The federal government has officially declared summer vacations for all educational institutions operating under its jurisdiction, as per a notification issued on Monday.
According to the announcement, the summer break will commence on June 5 and continue until August 1.
In response to rising temperatures, the government has also revised school timings starting May 26, ahead of the holidays. During this period, schools will function from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM to help minimize exposure to extreme heat.
The decision has been taken to safeguard the health and well-being of students and staff amid ongoing heatwave conditions across the country.
