ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has acknowledged that taxpayers are facing intermittent problems while using its IRIS online portal as the deadline for filing income tax returns draws closer.
In a statement posted on X, the tax authority confirmed that users were experiencing disruptions on the portal and said its technical teams were working to resolve the issue.
FBR also apologised to taxpayers for the inconvenience and said it would provide an update once its teams had restored normal portal operations.
The acknowledgement comes as taxpayers increasingly rely on IRIS to complete and submit their income tax returns before the filing deadline.
