ISLAMABAD: A fake company has announced jobs for Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued an alert about this fraudulent company.
According to the Ministry, a fraudulent advertisement is circulating under the name Khuddam al-Hujjaj. The advertisement appeared in newspapers and on social media, offering Hajj and Umrah jobs in Saudi Arabia.
Officials confirmed that the advertisement is fake and carries an incorrect registration number from the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment. The ministry shared this clarification to prevent citizens from falling victim to the scam.
Fake Ad Promises Jobs and Incentives in Holy Cities
The misleading advertisement appeared in a local newspaper on December 8. It falsely claimed to offer service jobs in Makkah and Madinah for two years. It also promised free visas, return tickets, and accommodation. The ministry posted a copy of the fraudulent ad on X. The ad listed a firm named Khadmeen Hajj as the hiring company. Officials stated that no such company holds a valid registration or authorization for overseas recruitment.
Ministry Urges Verification Through Official Platforms
The ministry advised citizens to verify all recruitment details through official government websites. It also urged the public to avoid contacting mobile numbers printed in suspicious advertisements. Officials stressed that legitimate companies use verified landline numbers for public communication. They added that verification steps protect citizens from exploitation and financial loss. Additionally, the ministry reminded applicants that overseas job offers must always match official BEOE listings.
Public Encouraged to Report Fraud to Authorities
The ministry also requested citizens to report any complaints regarding fake job schemes to law enforcement agencies.
Officials confirmed that action has already begun against individuals responsible for publishing the fraudulent advertisement. They added that the government remains committed to safeguarding the public from such scams. The warning aims to ensure that citizens remain alert and avoid unauthorized recruitment agents. Officials expressed hope that early awareness will stop further attempts to mislead the public.
