A nine-year-old maid was allegedly kept in shackles by her employers to keep her from leaving the home in Eden Valley, according to Faisalabad’s Madina Town police, who found her there on Wednesday.
According to Faisalabad City Police Officer (CPO) Omer Saeed Malik, police hotline number 15 received a complaint about a young maid who was being brutally beaten by her employers and home owners while being kept in chains in a house in Eden Valley.
The CPO said that after receiving the call, he ordered the Madina Town SP and Peoples Colony DSP to raid the home and rescue the girl.
Accordingly, he claimed, the police officers commanding a police party invaded the home and detained Asif and his wife, Aliya Bibi, in addition to recovering the chained girl.
According to him, a FIR was filed against the pair as a result of CPWB officer Robina Iqbal Cheema’s complaint, in accordance with sections 328-A, 344, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and section 34 of the Punjab Destitute and Neglected Children Act 2004.
According to the FIR, Maria Bibi, a young girl, is the daughter of a poor man named Allah Ditta of Chak 40-GB, Jarranwala. Around a year ago, Rasoolan Bibi gave Maria Bibi to the couple to work as domestic help for them for a pay of Rs2,000 per month.
According to the report, the pair burned the small girl’s bodily parts with hot knives and everyday subjected her to gruesome torture for no reason at all.
The girl was allegedly held in chains to confine her to the residence and had numerous new, ancient, and festering wounds as well as torture marks on her body. She had been taken into the district administrative hospital to receive medical attention for her wounds.
The CPO stated that the couple had been detained while police continued their investigation.
On the M-3 Motorway, close to Chak 474-GB, a man died and two other people, including a woman, were hurt when their car flipped.
The three passengers were going on the freeway when the car’s driver fell asleep, according to officials from Rescue 1122. The outcome was that the car toppled, critically injuring Abid Hussain, who passed away there and then.
Alyeena, a woman, and Asif, a male, who had suffered serious injuries, were transferred to the Samundri Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. There, medical staff advised them to go to the Allied Hospital in Faisalabad.
They said all the three persons belonged to the same family and were going to Multan from Lahore.
