Following Usman Dar’s statement regarding the May 9 riots, former federal minister Faisal Vawda has asserted that more leaders from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will come forward with confessions in the near future.
Usman Dar recently appeared on a private TV channel after being ‘picked’ from Karachi, and he held the PTI chief responsible for the events that transpired after May 9. He revealed that there was a meeting at Zaman Park, chaired by the PTI chief, to finalize the planning for the May 9 riots. The PTI chairman allegedly directly instructed party leaders to target sensitive installations in case of his arrest.

Faisal Vawda stated that Usman Dar had prior knowledge of the May 9 riots but lacked the courage to expose the conspiracy. While Vawda acknowledged that the names mentioned by Usman Dar in the interview were accurate, he claimed that Dar omitted some others.
Faisal Vawda reiterated his belief that individuals close to the PTI chief contributed to the party’s current situation, and he welcomed the fact that people were now admitting their mistakes.
Additionally, Vawda predicted that individuals such as Farrukh Habib, Sadaqat Abbasi, and others would also step forward to make confessions regarding the May 9 riots in the coming days.
He mentioned that the purpose of the earlier march was to prevent General Asim Munir from becoming the Chief of the Army Staff. Vawda also praised the current Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, and COAS General Asim Munir, describing them as heroes of the nation.
