A viral video claiming to show a woman shooting a motorcycle rider after alleged harassment is false. Instead, fact-checkers confirmed the clip was created using artificial intelligence.
The video spread widely across X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms. Consequently, it attracted hundreds of thousands of views and interactions.
Several users shared the clip as genuine footage.
Analysis Reveals AI Manipulation
Frame-by-frame analysis identified multiple visual inconsistencies throughout the video. For example, the motorcycle performed an unusually smooth 180-degree drift without leaving skid marks.
Additionally, a handgun suddenly appeared in the woman’s hand during the clip. The weapon seemed to morph into the scene rather than being drawn naturally.
Fact-checkers also highlighted unrealistic dust clouds after the apparent gunshots. Similarly, the fleeing motorcycle produced excessive dust on a clean asphalt road.
These visual anomalies raised immediate concerns about the video’s authenticity.
Detection Tools Confirm Findings
AI detection tools strongly indicated the clip was artificially generated. Hive Moderation classified the video as 94.2 percent AI-generated.
Meanwhile, Deepfake Detection estimated the clip was 97 percent AI-generated. Furthermore, X labeled one version of the video as AI-generated content.
A reverse image search traced the earliest upload to an Instagram account. The account regularly publishes similar AI-generated videos.
The earliest version appeared online on June 27, 2026. Therefore, fact-checkers concluded the viral claim was false.
