A powerful bomb blast shook a residential neighborhood in Dera Murad Jamali on Saturday night, specifically targeting the home of Mir Sadiq Umrani, Balochistan’s Minister for Irrigation. The explosive device caused significant structural damage to the property.
No Casualties Reported Following Targeted Strike
The local administration was able to verify that only staff members of the household occupied the premises during the blast. Despite the devastation caused by the explosion, which led to the destruction of a transformer of WAPDA located close by, there were no casualties or any injuries to report.
Security Footage Reveals Suspects in Arson Attack
The preliminary investigations saw a dramatic change when the police examined the surveillance footage of the area. There were two unidentified people on CCTV who planted the device behind the house and fled from the area shortly before the explosion took place. Hence, the police forces have started a massive manhunt to arrest the culprits behind the heinous act. As of now, there is no claim from any organization regarding their involvement in this attack, but the authorities are looking into the matter to find out the motive behind it.
