His family confirmed the actor’s death early Monday morning. He’s had health concerns for quite some time. Madiha Rizvi, his daughter, shared the news on Instagram.
“Our dearest Baba Rashid Naz has left this world peacefully this morning. Please recite Surah Fateha for the departed soul,” Madiha Rizvi requested in an Instagram post.
He has appeared in many Pakistani films and television shows. Naz was born in 1948 in Peshawar, Pakistan, and made his stage debut in 1971 at a Pashto theatre. In the play Aik Tha Gaoun, he became a household name in 1973. Naz has appeared in a number of Hindko and Urdu television shows, as well as in Pashto plays. Khuda Zameen Se Gaya Nahin, Inkaar, Ghulam Gardish, and Doosra Asmaan are just some of the many plays he’s appeared in.
Mawra Hocane, a well-known actress, also expressed her sorrow over the death. “Such a great cheerful spirit,” she remarked. “May Allah grant him to be there with his closest ones.”
Netizens expressed prayers and conveyed their respect for the fallen star.
We extend our sincere sympathies to the actor’s family.
