Ushna Shah Reveals Struggle with Prosopagnosia
Pakistani actress Ushna Shah, celebrated for her outstanding acting talent, has opened up about her battle with prosopagnosia, commonly known as face blindness. This condition affects her ability to recognize faces and remember names of people she encounters.
In a recent episode of her show, Ushna discussed the impact of prosopagnosia on her professional life, sharing a particular incident where she failed to recognize an actor she frequently sees at the gym. She mentioned her work with actor Akhtar Hassnain in the drama series “Aakhir Kab Tak,” where he played her uncle.
After a false rumor about him mistreating animals, she had avoided speaking to him when they crossed paths at the gym. However, when they were on set together, she again failed to recognize him. When he asked why she didn’t identify him, she struggled to explain.
Ushna also revealed her difficulties with remembering addresses, noting that she can easily lose her way after walking just a couple of blocks. She shared that her mother faces similar challenges.
