The mother of four played basketball for Manchester and coached under 16’s. After starting a family, she decided to change her career path and focus on her artistic skills. She wanted to do something to bring balance between work and family.
After pursuing her passion for art, she never looked back. Her work starting getting recognition after she produced a couple of original oil paintings for boxer Amir Khan’s home.
Sumera specializes in original contemporary abstract art with mixing colors, textures, and techniques. Her studio is based in the town of Bolton, England. Her idea of a workplace is rather different as she feels that creative fields require a place designated for the artist alone without any distraction so the artists can think, imagine and produce their vision.
The acclaimed artist goes by the name of Emanza on her Instagram account which is originally merging the names of her two children, Emaan and Hamza. Her contemporary abstract art is majorly inspired by her children, their laughter, happiness, and freedom.
She further believes that Talent cannot be learned as it’s a gift from God and the only way to go is to find yours out.
