Pakistani singer Aima Baig has faced criticism from netizen following her recent performance at the ‘Pakistan and Indonesia Music Night’ during the Jeddah Season in Saudi Arabia, shortly after sharing photos of her Umrah pilgrimage.
The event, which celebrated Pakistani and Indonesian music, featured performances from various artists including Bilal Saeed, TikTok star Rabeeca Khan, actor Kashif Khan, Indonesian singer Lady Rara, and the Sonu Dance Group. Thousands of attendees enjoyed the musical showcase.
Prior to the event, Baig had sparked rumors of quitting the music industry when she announced on Instagram that she was traveling abroad for work. She later clarified that her trip was work-related.
During her performance in Jeddah, Baig captivated the audience with popular songs like “Kaif-o-Suroor” and “Mast Malang.” Videos of her performance circulated on social media, highlighting her strong stage presence.
However, some netizens were displeased with her participation in the music show after she had posted about her Umrah pilgrimage on Instagram.
Screenshots of her Umrah-related Instagram stories began circulating online, eliciting mixed reactions. While some followers praised her for performing Umrah, others criticized her for participating in a musical event during the same trip.
