Hania Aamir has been recognized as the top Pakistani celebrity for 2024, securing the ninth spot on the globally renowned Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World list, published by a UK-based weekly newspaper. The acclaimed actress is the only Pakistani star to rank within the top 20, surpassing global icons from Hollywood, Bollywood, music, TV, literature, and social media.
Asjad Nazir, the entertainment editor responsible for the list, highlighted why the 27-year-old star made such a notable impact this year. “Hania generated significant headlines, with her global popularity reaching new heights. Her major success came from leading several hit dramas that captivated millions worldwide, showcasing her exceptional acting talent. As the most-followed Pakistani star on Instagram, Hania also emerged as a positive role model, openly discussing vital topics like mental health.”
Other Pakistani celebrities featured on the list include Riz Ahmed (11), Zayn Malik (21), Fahad Mustafa (23), Shazad Latif (24), Arooj Aftab (33), Hiba Bukhari (37), Atif Aslam (41), and Sajal Ali (48).
The Top 50 list celebrates Asian stars who have made significant contributions in 2024, excelling in their craft, breaking boundaries, and inspiring others through their work. The rankings also took into account public votes from readers and social media users who nominated their favorites.

Diljit Dosanjh Tops the List
Diljit Dosanjh has been named the number one celebrity, marking a milestone year for the Punjabi star, who topped the Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World list for 2024. He replaced last year’s winner, Shah Rukh Khan, in a highly competitive edition that saw celebrities from various industries, including cinema, music, television, and social media, vying for the top spot.
Asjad Nazir praised Diljit for his groundbreaking year: “He delivered the most successful world tour by any South Asian artist, the Dil-Luminati show, alongside hit singles, international collaborations, and standout acting performances.”
Charli XCX, the British singer and pop sensation, came in second, followed by Allu Arjun, who made history with the record-breaking success of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Other top names included Dev Patel (4th), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (5th), Vijay (6th), Arijit Singh (7th), and Geraldine Viswanathan (8th), all of whom had an outstanding year across various fields.
