LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: For the first time, Pakistan unveiled its glittering potential to the world at the Health Engineering and Mineral Show (HEMS) 2025, hosted in Lahore. Held at a local hotel, the landmark Gems and Jewelry Show — jointly organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Ministry of Commerce — brought together tradition, talent, and timeless artistry on an unprecedented scale.
International delegations from across Europe, Asia, and Africa gathered to witness the brilliance of Pakistan’s gems and jewelry industry, and many walked away with high praise for the craftsmanship on display.
From the moment the runway lit up and the first model appeared, it was evident this was more than a showcase — it was a celebration of heritage and innovation. The fashion show paid homage to Pakistan’s deep-rooted legacy in gemstone mining and jewelry-making, while pushing boundaries with cutting-edge design.
The event featured powerful collaborations between top jewelry houses and leading Pakistani fashion designers. Highlights included:
- Waseem Jewelers x House of HSY
- Almas Jewelers x Munib Nawaz
- Heritage Jewelers x Zonia Anwaar
and many more.
Fashion institutions also played a key role. The Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design’s Jewelry and Gemological Sciences Department partnered with Lulusar, spotlighting the next generation of design excellence.
Each collaboration told a unique story, blending traditional handcraft — from emeralds and rubies to silver and gold — with bold, contemporary design. The collections showcased the breadth of Pakistani artistry, where centuries-old techniques met fresh creative visions.
While the fashion show was a centerpiece, it aligned perfectly with HEMS 2025’s broader mission: to spotlight Pakistan’s industrial and creative potential for global markets. With international buyers, media, and trade representatives in attendance, the event provided invaluable exposure and real opportunities for long-term export partnerships.
Takell Events and PR managed the overall production, with celebrated designer Rizwan Beyg directing the show.
For an industry rich in resources but historically underrepresented on global runways, the HEMS Gems and Jewelry Show was a transformative moment. It declared to the world that Pakistan is not just a source of precious materials — it is an emerging hub for refined luxury, cultural richness, and world-class design.
With this groundbreaking debut, Pakistan has stepped boldly into the international spotlight, setting the stage for future showcases and solidifying its place in the global jewelry and fashion scene.
