Maddock Films Launches Horror-Comedy Superhero Universe with Eight Movies

Maddock Films, the Indian production company behind successful films like Stree and Bhediya, has announced the creation of an expansive horror-comedy superhero universe, with eight films set to release between 2025 and 2028. This announcement follows the box office triumph of Stree and Bhediya, which have become major successes for the studio, led by founder Dinesh Vijan, amid a challenging time for some big-budget films in theatres.

According to a press release issued on January 2, the film lineup begins with Thama, slated for a Diwali 2025 release, followed by Shakti Shalini later that year. A sequel to Bhediya will hit theatres on August 14, 2026, and Chamunda is set for release on December 4, 2026.

Fans can also look forward to Stree 3, which will debut on August 13, 2027, and Mahamunjya, scheduled for release on December 24, 2027. The studio will also produce a two-part epic, with Pehla Mahayudh set for August 11, 2028, and Doosara Mahayudh on October 18, 2028.

Vijan shared his excitement for this bold new venture, emphasizing the blend of horror, comedy, and superhero genres to create a unified and innovative cinematic experience. “Our mission at Maddock has always been to innovate and entertain. We’ve created characters deeply rooted in India’s culture and heritage, making our stories not only relatable but meaningful,” he stated.

Acknowledging the enthusiastic fanbase, Vijan expressed his excitement about the future, stating, “We can’t wait to take audiences on this journey through 2028 and beyond – and we’re just getting started!”
