Annie Kilner, Kyle Walker’s wife, has reportedly filed for divorce from the England footballer, marking another twist in their tumultuous relationship.
At 31, Kilner is pursuing legal action to end their marriage and is seeking half of Walker’s £27 million fortune. Their relationship has been under strain since the revelation of Walker’s love child with Instagram influencer Lauryn Goodman, leading to escalating tensions in recent months.
A source disclosed, “Kyle was taken aback when he received the papers. They’re discussing their next steps, but this might be Annie asserting her strength.”
Walker, 34, and Kilner, childhood sweethearts, separated last year after it was revealed that Walker had fathered a second child with Goodman.
Although he admitted to making “idiot choices,” the couple tried to stay together, even welcoming their fourth child in April.
However, Kilner’s frustration grew upon discovering the financial support Walker had been providing to Goodman, including substantial amounts for her housing and amenities.
Sources suggest that these revelations may have influenced Kilner’s decision to file for divorce, though it remains unclear whether the couple will officially separate.
Friends of the couple have indicated that the divorce proceedings could become “ugly” as both parties seek legal counsel.
