After TikTok star Sandal Khattak and comedic singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, actress Noor Bukhari is set to enter the race for the 2024 general elections under the banner of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
Noor visited the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday to formally file her nomination papers.
She will be contesting the election representing Jahangir Tareen’s Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, which emerged following Tareen’s split from Imran Khan’s PTI after he was removed as prime minister through a no-confidence motion.
Noor has submitted her nomination papers for the Punjab assembly’s reserve seat PP-163 in the upcoming 2024 elections, securing the third spot on the party’s list for a reserved seat.
Earlier, the comic singer submitted his nomination papers for the National Assembly elections, eyeing NA-128 in Lahore. Known as Kashif Rana offstage, he confirmed his candidacy via video, disclosing his filing through legal representation.
TikTok sensation Sandal Khattak also recently ventured into politics, submitting her nomination papers for reserved seats designated for women from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on December 24.
