New Academic Centre to Provide Quality Education Opportunities
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the establishment of Aitchison-level schools for boys and girls across the province.
The initiative aims to improve educational standards and provide students with access to high-quality learning facilities. The project will introduce modern academic environments with advanced resources and extracurricular opportunities.
The flagship pilot project, named the โMaryam Nawaz Centre of Academic Leadership,โ will be developed on Wahdat Road in Lahore.
Lahore Campus to Offer Modern Facilities
The new institution will provide education for both male and female students. It will include advanced academic facilities along with a wide range of sports and extracurricular activities.
The campus plan features a modern sports hall, a hockey stadium, and a cricket stadium. Students will also have access to horse-riding facilities and a swimming pool.
These facilities aim to support studentsโ overall development by combining academic learning with physical activities and skill-building opportunities.
Centre Planned for 10,000 Students
According to the proposed plan, the Maryam Nawaz Centre of Academic Leadership will accommodate up to 10,000 students.
The institution will have space for 5,000 boys and 5,000 girls, creating equal educational opportunities for students across Punjab.
The project received approval during a special meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Officials presented a detailed briefing about the proposed academic centre before the approval.
Focus on Improving Education Standards in Punjab
The establishment of Aitchison-level schools reflects the Punjab governmentโs focus on improving the quality of education in the province.
