ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued notifications of five MPAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on reserved seats of the Punjab Assembly.
ECP had de-seated 25 Punjab MPAs including five reserved seat members for voting for Hamza Shehbaz in violation of their party’s policy.

According to ECP’s notification, Batool Zain, Saira Raza and Fauzia Abbas were appointed to the reserved seats for women while Habook Rafiq and Samuel Yaqoob are notified as members of Punjab Assembly on the reserved seats for minority.
Meanwhile, PTI leader and Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has been released on bail by Lahore High Court.
PTI leader was was taken into custody from a hotel located on Lahore’s M M Alam Road early morning of Wednesday.
A single judge bench of the LHC comprising Justice Ali Baqar Najafi heard the case and declared Sheikh’s arrest as illegal and ordered his release immediately.
Haleem Adil Sheikh contended before the court that cases are being lodged against him by the Sindh government as he keeps on raising his voice to solve the problems of Karachi.
