One-day deposits to the Roshan Digital Account were the largest in Pakistan, according to a tweet from the State Bank of Pakistan.
He hailed the ex-pat community for their faith in Pakistan’s leadership in a tweet. “The Roshan Digital Account Scheme is supported by our government,” he said.
After the $57 million deposited in a single day, the cumulative deposits in the Roshan Digital Account have now exceeded $4.5 billion.
Pakistanis sent a record-breaking amount of money living outside of Pakistan in one day, according to Prime Minister Shahbaz. Pakistan’s overseas Pakistanis are a priceless resource. They’ve always made a positive impact on the country’s economy. In these challenging circumstances, the administration commits to persevere.
As the prime minister put it, “I congratulate foreign Pakistanis for reposing their belief in the homeland.”
“Pakistani expatriates would continue to aid Pakistan in the future with the same dedication”, he added. In order to help Pakistanis living abroad, the government is taking a variety of measures.
