LESCO shocks consumers by doubling new connection fee from 1st of July

LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has increased the fees for new connections.

According to a notification issued by the LESCO administration, the demand notice fee for a three-phase meter has been raised to Rs63,450 from Rs33,500. The new fees will come into effect on July 1.

Steps to Apply for a New LESCO Connection

1. Visit the Application Link: Start the application process by visiting LESCO Connection Application.
2. Form Submission: Submit the following information during the application process:
   • Choose your connection type: Domestic, Commercial, Industrial, Agriculture, Tubewell, Temporary, General Services, Residential Colonies, Street Light.
3. Property Details: Provide details of the property where you want to install the new electricity connection.
4. Complete Application: Fill out and upload all required information and documents, then submit the application form.
5. Print Application: Print out the submitted application form.
6. Attach Documents: Attach all mentioned documents with the printed application form.
7. Submit Application File: Send or submit the complete file (including the application form and required documents) to the relevant LESCO office.
8. Demand Notice Issuance: LESCO will issue a demand notice after verifying the submitted documents and information.
9. Payment: Pay the LESCO demand notice at the specified bank.
10. Submit Payment Proof: Submit a copy of the paid demand notice to the concerned office for further processing.
11. Connection Installation: The concerned office will verify the demand notice payment, and upon verification, they will install the connection.
