ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved an increase in gas prices for the current financial year as cold weather intensifies across the country.
Gas prices for SNGPL consumers will rise by 8.71%, while SSGC customers will face a 25.78% increase, according to an OGRA statement.
The new average price for SNGPL is set at Rs1,778.35 per MMBTU, and for SSGC, the average price will be Rs1,762.51 per MMBTU.
OGRA has forwarded its decision to the federal government for review, and the final approval will be determined based on the government’s advice.
