Government Reveals PSDP Allocations for Each Ministry

The government has unveiled the details of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the upcoming fiscal year 2024-25, emphasizing significant investments in infrastructure projects and regional development.

According to the budget document, a total of Rs1,400 billion has been allocated for the PSDP, with federal ministries receiving Rs1,041 billion.

Key allocations across various sectors reflect the government’s commitment to balanced development:

  1. Water Resources: Rs259 million allocated to enhance water management and infrastructure.
  2. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL): Rs35 million earmarked for improving gas supply projects.
  3. Revenue Division: Receives Rs17 million for modernizing tax collection and revenue systems.
  4. Railway Division: Rs43 million for developing and maintaining railway infrastructure.
  5. Interior Division: Rs9.07 million to bolster internal security measures and services.
  6. IT & Telecommunications: Rs28.92 million dedicated to advancing technology and communication services.
  7. National Food Security & Research Division: Rs41.25 million for enhancing agricultural productivity and food security.
  8. National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination Division: Rs27 million to improve public health services.
  9. Industries & Production Division: Rs4.91 million for industrial development and production capacity enhancement.
  10. Human Rights Division: A significant Rs104 million to promote and protect human rights.
  11. Housing & Works Division: Rs27.68 million for housing needs and infrastructure development.
  12. Higher Education Commission: Receives Rs66.31 million to support higher education and research.
  13. Azad Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan: Rs74.5 million for regional development projects.
  14. Merged Districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Rs70 million aimed at integrating and developing these areas.
  15. Federal-Provincial Projects: Rs82.41 million for collaborative projects between federal and provincial governments.
  16. Special Areas (AJK and GB): Another Rs74.5 million for specific regional needs.
  17. Information & Broadcasting Division: Rs6.55 million for enhancing information dissemination and broadcasting services.
  18. Inter Provincial Coordination Division: Rs3.65 million to improve coordination among provinces.
  19. Law & Justice Division: Rs1.23 million for judicial and legal reforms.
  20. Maritime Affairs Division: Rs5.3 million for developing maritime infrastructure and services.
  21. Narcotics Control Division: Rs169 million to combat drug trafficking and abuse.
  22. National Heritage & Culture Division: Rs1,015 million to preserve and promote national heritage and culture.
  23. Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission: Rs25 million for atomic energy projects.
  24. Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority: Rs258 million to ensure nuclear safety and regulation.
  25. Petroleum Division: Rs3.225 million for developing petroleum resources.
  26. Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Division: Rs59.114 million for planning and development initiatives.
  27. Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety Division: No allocation this fiscal year.
  28. Religious Affairs & Inter Faith Harmony Division: Rs500 million to promote religious harmony.
  29. Science & Technological Research Division: Rs7.149 million for scientific research and development.
  30. States & Frontier Region Division: Rs1.434 million to address frontier region issues.
  31. Strategic Plans Division: A significant Rs98,735.617 million for strategic planning and initiatives.
  32. SUPARCO: Rs35.617 million for space research and development.
  33. National Highway Authority: Rs180.284 million to improve and expand the national highway network.
  34. Power Division: Rs175.939 million for power infrastructure development and maintenance.

This comprehensive allocation underscores the government’s commitment to fostering balanced development, enhancing infrastructure, and addressing regional disparities in the fiscal year 2024-25.
