YouTuber Saadur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, has released a detailed video alleging harsh treatment during his time in the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency’s custody. His statement has sparked strong public interest, as the claims include physical abuse, verbal harassment and forced financial loss.
Rehman posted the video on Sunday. It runs for nearly an hour. In it, he recounts events from the day of his arrest and the days that followed. He was detained in August at Lahore Airport on accusations of promoting betting and gambling applications through his platform. Although he secured bail on November 25, he says he remained in official custody afterward.
Allegations of Verbal and Physical Abuse
According to Rehman, he met an agency official soon after his arrest. He claims the encounter turned abusive. He states that the official questioned the source of his income and accused him of harming young audiences. Rehman says he attempted to explain that his earnings came from YouTube, where he has eight million subscribers.
However, the exchange escalated. He alleges that the senior official repeatedly insulted him and slapped him several times. He says he lost count of how many times he was hit. Rehman claims he tried to cooperate fully, yet the treatment worsened. At one point, he told an acquaintance to ask the guards to reduce the beating.
Claims of Bribery and Crypto Account Interference
Rehman also makes financial allegations. He states that officials offered to settle the matter for a sum he could not afford. The demand, according to him, was between Rs70 million and Rs80 million.
He also mentions a claim about $326,000 that surfaced during a public podcast. Rehman says an investigating officer ordered him to open his Binance account. He alleges the officer closed all his trades at a loss, converted his holdings into US dollars and then instructed him to transfer the funds. Rehman further claims the amount was moved to a personal account belonging to the officer.
These allegations, if proven, point to significant misconduct within the system.
Ongoing Investigations Into Misconduct
Rehman notes that he felt helpless throughout the first day of custody. Despite this, he says he continued to comply with the instructions given to him. His allegations surface at a time when several agency personnel have already faced action. Six staff members were arrested earlier on charges of bribery and misuse of authority. They were taken into custody after a complaint submitted by Rehman’s wife.
The case continues to develop. An internal inquiry is underway, and proceedings are being handled through official anti-corruption channels. Officials have stated that individuals, not institutions, engage in wrongdoing, and the matter will be investigated on merit.
