Dubai has emerged as one of the worldโs most preferred destinations for billionaires, according to the Billionaire Ambitions Report 2025. The latest study reveals that global wealth reached an all-time high of $15.8 trillion, and a growing number of high-net-worth individuals are relocating in search of safety, opportunity and long-term stability.
Dubai Becomes a Global Magnet for Wealth
Published annually by UBS, the report shows a major shift in global wealth movement. It states that 36% of the worldโs billionaires have moved from their home country at least once, choosing cities like Dubai, Singapore, London and New York as their top destinations.
Dubai, in particular, has become a dominant hub. The UAE โ especially Dubai โ continues to attract wealthy families from Pakistan, India, Europe and across Asia, thanks to its tax-free structure, stable governance and thriving business ecosystem. Experts say Dubaiโs international lifestyle and investor-friendly environment make it one of the safest and most appealing places for the worldโs richest individuals.
Rising Women Billionaires and Massive Wealth Transfers
The report highlights a striking trend: women billionaires grew their wealth at twice the pace of men in 2025. While male billionaires saw an average growth of around 3%, women recorded growth rates above 8%. This rapid rise is driven by increased investments in technology, finance and new business ventures, showing growing confidence among female investors.
Another major finding is the record-breaking rise in inheritance. Wealthy families transferred $297.8 billion to their heirs this year โ the largest wealth transfer ever recorded. Many young inheritors are now choosing the UAE as their base, attracted by its global connectivity and supportive business policies.
Self-made billionaires also expanded global wealth significantly, adding $386.5 billion in 2025. Strong gains were seen across the United States, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Looking ahead, the study predicts nearly $7 trillion will be passed on to the next generation by 2040. This massive shift is expected to accelerate the movement of wealthy individuals toward stable financial centers such as Dubai.
