Pakistan is expected to experience dry weather across most regions on Sunday, October 25, while northern areas may face colder conditions during mornings and nights.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast generally dry conditions nationwide, although partly cloudy skies may develop in some mountainous areas. Meanwhile, recent rainfall has affected parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region and northeastern Punjab.
Rainfall Recorded in Northern Regions
During the past 24 hours, Malam Jabba recorded the highest rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, receiving 21 millimetres. Balakot followed with 15 millimetres, while Murree recorded 12 millimetres of rain.
Islamabad’s Saidpur area also received seven millimetres of rainfall during the same period. These showers brought temporary changes to local weather conditions, although the forecast indicates a return to predominantly dry weather.
The department expects most districts of Punjab to remain dry on Sunday. However, Murree, Galyat and nearby mountainous locations may experience colder conditions during morning and nighttime hours.
Regional Forecast and Temperature Outlook
Similarly, mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern districts of Balochistan are expected to experience cold conditions. Islamabad will also remain dry, while Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to see partly cloudy skies alongside colder mornings and nights.
In Sindh, most districts are expected to remain dry, with warmer temperatures during daytime hours. Lasbela, Turbat, Hyderabad and Thatta recorded temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius during the previous reporting period.
The forecast suggests that most parts of Pakistan will experience stable, dry conditions over the coming day. Nevertheless, residents in northern and mountainous regions should prepare for cooler temperatures, particularly after sunset and before sunrise.
Weather conditions may vary between regions, so residents and travellers should follow updated forecasts before planning outdoor activities. People visiting mountainous destinations should also prepare for colder mornings and evenings.
