GUJRANWALA: A woman and mother of three was allegedly killed by her brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law during a domestic dispute in Gujranwala.
The incident occurred in the Bilal Town area, within the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station. The case has prompted a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the womanโs death. According to the FIR, the dispute turned violent when one of the sisters-in-law, identified as Sadia, allegedly pushed the victim, Maryam.
Woman Sustains Fatal Knife Injury
The FIR stated that another sister-in-law, Meena, allegedly restrained Maryam by holding her legs during the confrontation. Meanwhile, the victimโs brother-in-law allegedly attacked her with a knife. The FIR stated that he struck Maryam on the neck, leaving her critically injured.
Family members rushed Maryam to a hospital following the attack. However, doctors could not save her, and she died from her injuries. The victim had married around 10 years ago and had three children. Her death has left the family facing a devastating loss.
Husband Was Working in Dubai
Police said Maryamโs husband was living in Dubai, where he worked as a labourer. Authorities registered a first information report against the womanโs two sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. The victimโs father submitted the complaint to police.
Investigators are now examining the circumstances that led to the domestic dispute and the subsequent attack.
