Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has claimed that a doctor was brought from London to provide medical care to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan.
Sanaullah said the government facilitated the doctor’s arrival to ensure that Imran Khan received medical treatment in accordance with legal requirements.
Speaking about the former prime minister’s health and medical arrangements, Sanaullah said authorities had taken steps to address concerns regarding his treatment while he remains in custody.
The adviser did not provide extensive details about the doctor’s identity, medical specialty or the nature of the treatment during his remarks. However, his statement comes amid continued discussions surrounding Imran Khan’s health and access to medical care.
Sanaullah said the authorities were prepared to provide the necessary medical facilities within the framework of the law. He maintained that the government had taken appropriate measures to address the medical concerns raised about the PTI founder.
Imran Khan has remained incarcerated while facing multiple legal cases. His supporters and party leaders have repeatedly raised concerns about his health and demanded appropriate medical attention.
The government, meanwhile, has maintained that Khan is being provided medical care and facilities according to established procedures.
The claim regarding the London-based doctor adds to the ongoing debate over the former premier’s medical arrangements and access to healthcare during his incarceration.
Officials have yet to provide further publicly available details regarding the doctor’s visit, treatment provided or whether the physician will continue to monitor Khan’s condition.
