ISLAMABAD: Growing concerns about a ground invasion are fueled by Israel’s escalation of measures against the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, imposing a “total blockade.” This includes actively prohibiting the supply of food and fuel to the war-ravaged Palestinian population in the resource-strapped Arab nation.

According to Israel’s foreign ministry, Hamas has actively killed at least 1,000 Israelis, which includes civilians and security forces. In response, Palestine’s health ministry has reported that 560 Gazans have been martyred.
On Monday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant characterized the action as a part of the ongoing battle against the Palestinian group. Israeli troops were still actively engaged on Monday in the effort to clear out Hamas gunmen who had breached the fence from Gaza and had been on a deadly rampage for over two days.
The Israeli army announced that it would imminently launch an offensive, marking the largest mobilization in Israeli history.
Israel Imposes Full Blockade On Gaza As Hamas Clashes Enter Third Day
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a major offensive against the Palestinian group Hamas in response to a violent incursion by Hamas fighters from Gaza into Israel.
Theย incursion led to significant casualties among Israeli civilians and the seizure of hostages, severely damaging Israelโs reputation for invincibility. Israelโs military, while regaining control of some areas, struggled to fully restore security. The situation prompted Israel to activate a large number of reservists and initiate an offensive.
