Strategic, Economic, and Defence Cooperation
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a multifaceted relationship built on strategic military cooperation, mutual economic interests, and shared Islamic heritage. Riyadh has historically provided financial assistance and energy supplies, playing a crucial role in supporting Islamabad’s economy.
In September 2025, both countries signed a landmark mutual defence agreement. The pact stipulates that an attack on one nation will be considered an attack on both, reinforcing the depth of bilateral security ties.

During the call, Dar expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Saudi relations. Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition targeted foreign military support to southern separatists at Yemen’s Mukalla port.
