Former Pakistan fast bowler and 1992 World Cup winner Aaqib Javed’s daughter, Uqba Aaqib, has married in London.
The wedding took place in the United Kingdom on August 9. Aaqib’s wife, poet and author Farzana Aaqib, shared photographs online.
Family Celebrates Wedding In London
Farzana congratulated the newly married couple and offered prayers for their future. She also shared a video showing Aaqib walking his daughter toward the wedding area.
Uqba’s friends accompanied her while wearing traditional English wedding dresses. Photos showed Uqba wearing a white bridal gown, while the groom wore a formal suit.
The wedding celebrations brought together family members and friends in the United Kingdom. Farzana described the occasion as a special beginning for both families.
Uqba Holds Media And Journalism Degree
Uqba has an academic background in media and journalism. She studied Media and International Journalism at the University of Sussex in the UK.
Meanwhile, Aaqib remains a prominent figure in Pakistan cricket. He represented Pakistan during an international career spanning from 1988 to 1998.
The former fast bowler played 22 Test matches for Pakistan. He also represented the national team in 163 One-Day Internationals.
Aaqib was part of Imran Khan’s Pakistan team that won the 1992 World Cup. His cricket career established him as an important figure in Pakistan’s cricket history.
The family’s wedding celebrations have since attracted attention following Farzana’s social media posts.
