Legal Matter
During the hearing of the Practice and Procedure Act case, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa intervened, instructing Justice Ejazul Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar to cease their repeated questioning.
Tensions rose when Justice Muneeb attempted to pose a question to lawyer Faisal Siddiqui, but the chief justice interrupted.
The chief justice stated that the counsel had the right to argue as they wished, expressing his desire to hear the lawyer’s arguments. However, he added that the judges’ opinions could be reflected in the judgment if already formed.

He urged the lawyer to continue to prevent the hearings from becoming endless. Justice Muneeb insisted on his right to ask questions, but Justice Isa suggested waiting until the lawyer had finished presenting his arguments.
Despite the suggestion, Justice Muneeb persisted, expressing his dissatisfaction with continuous interruptions. He emphasized that if the counsel didn’t want to answer a question, it was the counsel’s issue, not the judge’s.
Meanwhile, Justice Ejazul Hassan informed lawyer Faisal Siddiqui of his intention to ask a question. Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa advised the lawyer to focus on his arguments and not answer every question.
When lawyer Faisal Siddiqui chuckled at the Chief Justice’s remarks, the Chief Justice cautioned against smiling, emphasizing the seriousness of the case, which had been ongoing for four hearings with many pending cases.
He also appealed to his fellow judges to allow the lawyer to complete his arguments before posing questions.
In a legal matter, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa intervened, urging Justices Ejazul Ahsan and Muneeb Akhtar to halt repeated questioning.
