Matt Damon said Christopher Nolan never contacted him through text messages. Instead, Nolan’s wife and longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, first sent a message asking whether he was available for a call.
According to Damon, the warning was necessary because Nolan famously does not own a phone. Consequently, the director usually calls from an unidentified number at Universal Studios.
Damon joked that Nolan often does not know which number he will use. Initially, the actor believed they were simply catching up after the success of Oppenheimer.
However, the conversation quickly shifted toward Nolan’s next project. The director then revealed he was preparing to begin work on The Odyssey.
