Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong has called for deeper exchanges between China and Pakistan. He urged both countries to strengthen cooperation on party building and governance.
Jiang described China and Pakistan as โironclad friendsโ and all-weather strategic cooperative partners. He said both sides should share experiences and work together to improve peopleโs well-being.
The ambassador made the remarks while outlining Chinaโs approach to party building and governance. He also called for efforts to promote prosperity and accelerate a closer China-Pakistan community.
Jiang Highlights Chinaโs Governance Experience
Jiang said the Communist Party of China places people at the centre of governance. He cited Chinaโs poverty alleviation campaign as an example of this approach.
Under President Xi Jinping, China has eliminated absolute poverty and built a moderately prosperous society. Jiang said China has also begun a new phase of national rejuvenation and modernisation.
He said Xi has consistently supported Pakistanโs development and efforts to improve living standards. Jiang added that Chinaโs friendly policy toward Pakistan benefits the entire Pakistani population.
CPEC Drives Investment and Infrastructure Growth
Jiang said China wants CPEC projects to benefit people across all regions of Pakistan. He said project planning should consider the needs of the countryโs entire population.
According to Jiang, CPEC has attracted more than $25.9 billion in direct investment. The projects have also created over 260,000 jobs across Pakistan.
CPEC has added more than 8,000 megawatts of power generation capacity. It has also supported 510 kilometres of highways and 886 kilometres of core power transmission networks.
