The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has accelerated development activities in Islamabad’s residential sectors E-12, I-12 and C-14. The initiative focuses on improving infrastructure, upgrading road networks and providing better civic facilities to residents.
During a recent visit to Sector E-12, CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf reviewed ongoing projects and instructed officials to speed up construction work. He emphasized timely execution and effective supervision to ensure progress across the targeted sectors.
CDA Recovers Valuable State Land in E-12
The authority reported recovering more than 1,000 kanals of state land in Sector E-12, worth billions of rupees. This recovery marks an important step towards protecting public property and supporting the sector’s planned development.
Moreover, the recovered land could facilitate future infrastructure projects and the provision of essential civic amenities. However, the CDA has not announced a specific completion date for the ongoing development work.
Road Networks and Civic Facilities Receive Attention
Meanwhile, development activities in Sectors I-12 and C-14 continue to focus on residential infrastructure and improved connectivity. The CDA is working on road construction and rehabilitation, alongside improvements to major routes across the capital.
Additionally, the authority is prioritizing underpasses and pedestrian bridges to improve traffic flow and make commuting easier. These projects aim to strengthen road connectivity and provide safer movement for pedestrians and motorists.
The initiatives are proceeding under the directions of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the supervision of the CDA chairman. The authority is also highlighting improvements to parks, lakes, landscaping and horticulture to enhance Islamabad’s urban environment.
The CDA says it will continue accelerating development projects across the federal capital. However, residents will ultimately benefit most when the authority completes essential infrastructure and makes promised civic facilities available on time.
