ISLAMABAD: In an official confirmation by the Foreign Office spokesperson, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the caretaker prime minister, is scheduled for an official visit to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he will participate in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit.

The visit aims to underscore Pakistan’s commitment to the ECO vision 2025, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in trade, transport, connectivity, energy, tourism, and economic growth.
During the summit, Prime Minister Kakar will present Pakistan’s vision for the organization’s future endeavors, emphasizing regional connectivity and mutual prosperity. Additionally, he will engage in bilateral discussions with Uzbekistan’s leadership and other participating leaders.
Addressing the issue of repatriating illegal foreigners in Pakistan, the Foreign Office spokesperson clarified that this policy applies to all nationalities and origins. Pakistan remains steadfast in extending political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiris in their quest for a just and peaceful resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
Expressing concern over the dire situation in Gaza, the spokesperson urged the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibility in maintaining peace. She emphasized the need for the UN to call for the lifting of the siege, protection of civilians, and the establishment of humanitarian corridors to ensure uninterrupted essential supplies for the people of Gaza.
