RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi woman has accused a man of sexually exploiting her for three years after meeting him on Facebook. She alleged that he promised marriage before eventually marrying another woman.
Rawat police registered a case following the woman’s complaint. She works as an assistant at a hair transplant institute and earns Rs100,000 monthly.
According to her statement, she met Vishal Akhtar on Facebook three years ago. They later exchanged phone numbers, and their relationship reportedly became closer.
She alleged that Vishal repeatedly assured her that he would marry her. She also claimed that she gave him clothes, shoes, a watch, perfume and other gifts.
The woman said the gifts were worth around Rs200,000, with receipts available. She further alleged that Vishal took Rs300,000 from her on different occasions.
Woman Alleges Assault and Threats
The complainant said Vishal asked her to introduce him to her family. She agreed, and he later began visiting her home.
She alleged that her relatives believed they would eventually marry. However, she accused Vishal of sexually abusing her while maintaining his marriage promise.
She claimed he took her to a hotel in Phase VII in April, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her by force. She said CCTV footage could verify his arrival and departure.
According to her complaint, Vishal later threatened to kill her if she disclosed the alleged assault.
She said she later discovered that he had married someone else and refused to marry her.
The woman accused him of deception, sexual exploitation, fraud, taking money and gifts, and damaging her reputation. Police said the case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
