Bushra’s sister, Maryam Riaz Wattoo, has highlighted the health condition of Imran Khan after he received second injection at PIMS for his eye treatment.
Maryam Wattoo, sister of Bushra Bibi, shared an update on social media today about the health of Imran Khan after he received a second injection.
She said in a statement posted on X that the daughter of Bushra Bibi visited her mother in Adiala Jail. She added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder was administered the second injection late last night. However, she noted that it remains too early to assess whether the treatment will yield positive results.
According to Wattoo, the former prime minister’s eye is still swollen, and no significant improvement has been observed since last week.
Furthermore, she said Khan has once again urged his legal team to file applications seeking immediate permission for examination by his personal doctors. She emphasized that his lawyers and sisters should request authorities to allow private medical specialists to examine him without delay.
Sister slips into the drain near Adiala Jail
Meanwhile, an incident near Adiala Jail briefly alarmed party workers. Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, reportedly slipped and fell into a drain while heading to meet him in Rawalpindi.
Initial reports indicated that Niazi, accompanied by a female party worker, attempted to cross a drain under construction near the Dahgal check post when both lost their footing. As a result, they fell into the drain. However, bystanders quickly assisted them, and officials confirmed that neither sustained serious injuries.
The incident has shocked the PTI supporters and fans across Pakistan and abroad.
