Bushra Bibi
PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram has confirmed that Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, is part of the convoy traveling from Peshawar to Islamabad for the partyโs ongoing protest.
The convoy, led by Ali Amin Gandapur and Sheikh Waqas Akram, includes party workers and supporters determined to reach the capital to press forward with PTIโs demands.
Sheikh Waqas Akram underscored the significance of unity at this critical juncture. “The workers cannot be left alone at this moment,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of solidarity within the party.
He further explained that if PTI expects workers to bring their families to the protest, it is only fair for Imran Khanโs family to set an example by participating.
Despite logistical challenges, Akram expressed confidence that the party would achieve the objectives laid out by Imran Khan.
He reassured supporters that PTIโs resolve remains strong and that the convoyโs journey symbolizes the partyโs unwavering commitment to its goals.
However, the internal dynamics of PTI have been marked by notable disagreements. Sources revealed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Ministerโs convoy faced delays and ultimately could not leave the province due to internal disputes and logistical hurdles. The complications have highlighted the strain within the partyโs leadership during this critical phase.
In a separate development, Bushra Bibiโs decision to join the protest convoy sparked a disagreement with PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur.
While Bushra Bibi cited her adherence to Imran Khanโs instructions as her reason for participating, Gandapur opposed her inclusion, arguing that the party already faces significant challenges. “There are already enough difficulties for us,” he reportedly said, suggesting that her presence might exacerbate the precarious situation.
The disagreement led to a heated exchange, with both leaders holding firm in their respective positions. Bushra Bibi maintained, “I am following Khan Sahib’s orders,” while Gandapur emphasized the need for caution during this sensitive time.
Observers note that PTI cannot afford further setbacks, making internal cohesion and strategic planning crucial to the success of its protest efforts.
The partyโs ability to navigate these internal challenges and logistical issues will be critical in the coming days as it continues its march toward Islamabad.
