Hazara Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nasir Mahmood Satti said police teams were actively searching different areas of Siran Valley for the missing tourist.
According to the police official, there is a possibility that Alexander became lost while returning from his trekking trip.
Authorities are examining possible routes and areas through which the tourist may have travelled after completing the trek.
