Actress Requests Extension in Court Deadlines
Blake Livelyโs legal battle with Justin Baldoni has entered a new phase. The actress has asked the court for more time to file her next legal response.
According to newly filed court documents, Livelyโs legal team requested an extension due to personal and professional commitments. Her lawyers said the schedule includes international travel and other obligations.
The team has asked for seven extra days to submit the initial brief. The new requested deadline is June 29, 2026.
Legal Team Cites Travel and Preparation Issues
Livelyโs attorneys said they need more time to prepare the case properly. They also said additional documents are required before the next filing can be completed.
Her legal team may also seek up to 30 extra days if further arguments are needed over attorneysโ fees and expenses. Some filings could then move to July 15.
The lawyers said they need time to collect invoices and supporting evidence related to legal costs.
Wayfarer Opposes Delay Request
The request comes after a judge declined to award damages to Lively. However, she can still pursue attorneysโ fees linked to Baldoniโs defamation claims.
Court filings show that Wayfarer has opposed the requested extensions.
The legal dispute began in December 2024. Lively filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment, retaliation, and emotional distress.
The case remains active. Both sides are now battling over deadlines, filings, and legal costs.
