ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is expected to travel to the United States in the middle of this month, according to reports.
According to diplomatic sources, Bilawal is visiting the United States at the request of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Bilawal would meet Blinken and other US officials on his first official visit. The group might possibly include Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar.
Blinken congratulated Bilawal on his appointment last week over the phone, stressing his commitment to improving bilateral relations. On May 18, Bilawal will attend the “Global Food Security” summit, and on May 12, he will virtually join the second international COVID conference.
