ARY Digital’s popular drama Bas Tera Saath Ho has ended after a successful run, leaving viewers reflecting on its emotional characters and family dynamics.
Farhan Saeed, who played Anas opposite Sana Javed, shared an emotional farewell to his character. He said saying goodbye felt heavier than expected after spending months portraying Anas’s fears, pain, silence and patience.
Saeed said Anas eventually stopped feeling like a fictional character and became someone he felt personally connected to.
Anas Redefined the Pakistani Drama Hero
Anas was different from the traditional television hero. He was not portrayed as a dominant man who solves every problem through power or control.
Instead, Anas was shown as an orphan who faced emotional, verbal and physical abuse from his relatives. He was forced to handle household responsibilities and also cared for his elderly grandfather.
His difficult childhood shaped him into a quiet and hesitant man. However, his journey gradually transformed him into a more confident and self-respecting person.
Drama Review: A More Vulnerable Male Lead
Bas Tera Saath Ho stood out for presenting male vulnerability without turning it into weakness.
Anas supported his wife’s ambitions and shared household responsibilities. His character showed that kindness, emotional sensitivity and domestic support can also define a strong male lead.
His relationship with Ansa, played by Sana Javed, further strengthened the drama’s central message about partnership and personal growth.
The drama also explored complicated Pakistani family dynamics and the long-term impact of abuse. Anas’s transformation became one of its strongest elements.
Saeed said Anas taught him that strength can sometimes mean surviving, protecting dignity and eventually choosing oneself.
He thanked the drama’s team, including director Qasim Ali Mureed, before leaving the character with viewers.
