Bomb Blast Targets JUI Candidate Qari Khairullah In Bajaur
A few days earlier, there was a bomb blast targeting Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) candidate Qari Khairullah in Tehsil Mamond of Bajaur district. Fortunately, the JUI candidate survived the blast and remained unharmed, but his vehicle sustained significant damage.
Earlier, another incident involved an attack on the convoy of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman in DI Khan. Sources indicated that the convoy was attacked near the DI Khan Yarik interchange, but Maulana Fazlur Rehman escaped unharmed, and there were no reported casualties.

However, RPO Nasir Mehmood Dasti contradicted reports of an attack on Maulana Fazl’s convoy, stating that the Yarik interchange police checkpost in DI Khan was the target of the attack. He mentioned that the assailants fled after encountering a strong response from the police at the interchange.
It’s noteworthy that the interior ministry had previously issued a warning to Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Awami National Party provincial president Aimal Wali Khan about serious threats to their lives.
The ministry urged heightened caution and vigilance, along with necessary security arrangements, in light of potential risks during their residences, movements, and public gatherings.
