Park Geonroung, who appeared in the viral video at age seven, made his solo debut under the name “Baby Shark Boy.”
Pinkfong Company, which owns the Baby Shark copyright, is supporting his new musical career.
From Viral Fame to Music
“Baby Shark Dance” became a worldwide sensation after its release in 2016. The video has now surpassed 17.2 billion YouTube views.
The song has reached audiences worldwide and sparked parodies, dance trends and celebrity performances.
It also featured at the White House and received praise from several high-profile figures, including US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Meanwhile, Park continued working with Pinkfong after his breakthrough and appeared in the company’s other productions.
Baby Shark Boy Begins New Journey
Park’s debut single, “WAVE,” combines the familiar Baby Shark melody with an electropop sound.
He also contributed lyrics to the track, marking a new creative step in his career.
