Singer Atif Aslam has reflected on fame, success, and creativity ahead of his fourth studio album, Subah Aye Na. The album marks his first full-length studio release in nearly two decades.
In recent interviews, Aslam described the project as a major turning point in his career. Moreover, he said years of global touring had distanced him from his artistic identity.
“I forgot who I was,” Aslam said. He added that he wanted to become an artist rather than simply remain a star.
Singer Opens Up About Creative Journey
Aslam described Subah Aye Na as his most personal work to date. He explained that the album helped him reconnect with himself through music.
The singer said he had spent years creating music for audiences and record companies. However, this project allowed him to focus on his own experiences and emotions.
Reflecting on his 25-year career, Aslam said concerts and commercial commitments consumed much of his time. Nevertheless, he acknowledged those opportunities as blessings while seeking personal creative growth.
He also revealed that he avoided strict deadlines during the album’s production. Instead, he allowed the music to develop naturally without external pressure.
Atif Aslam Plans More Frequent Album Releases
The singer admitted he had intended to release another album much earlier. However, he said he struggled to complete the project and jokingly described himself as “lazy.”
Aslam emphasized that artists must balance live performances with creating original music. Therefore, he believes both aspects remain essential for a lasting career.
Looking ahead, Aslam hopes Subah Aye Na begins a new creative chapter. Furthermore, he plans to release a new studio album every year.
