The 272nd Corps Commanders Conference, chaired by Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s resolve to confront emerging security challenges and maintain national stability.
The meeting began with prayers for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks, paying tribute to their bravery and sacrifices for the nation’s defense.
The forum reviewed counterterrorism operations, internal security, and regional developments, declaring that any nexus of terrorism and crime would not be tolerated. The commanders reiterated their commitment to eliminating all terrorist networks, including foreign-backed groups, and vowed to dismantle “Fitna-ul-Khawarij” and “Fitna-ul-Hindustan.”
Expressing concern over India’s “war hysteria,” the commanders warned that any provocation or attempt to establish a new “normal” would be met with a firm and immediate response. “The Pakistan Army has full capability to confront all kinds of threats,” Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized, directing troops to maintain peak operational readiness, discipline, and fitness.
The forum also welcomed the recent Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defense pact, calling it a historic milestone that will enhance bilateral security cooperation and contribute to regional stability. The commanders noted that the agreement strengthens defense ties and mutual security interests between both nations.
Reaffirming solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine, the conference expressed support for their right to self-determination and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. It endorsed the two-state solution, emphasizing Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of an independent Palestinian state.
Concluding the meeting, the leadership reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s dedication to protecting the nation’s sovereignty, defeating terrorism, and supporting all efforts for peace and stability, both at home and abroad.
