Trader Targeted After Selling 488 Grams of Gold
Armed robbers stole Rs17.8 million from a gold trader in Peshawar before escaping on a motorcycle.
According to the First Information Report, the trader had sold 488 grams of gold shortly before the robbery.
He placed the money received from the sale inside the trunk of his vehicle.
The trader later stopped near a shop in Peshawarโs Civil Quarter area to purchase goods.
The suspects reportedly followed his movements and targeted him when the vehicle was parked.
Motorcycle-Riding Suspects Escape With Cash
Police said armed men riding a motorcycle intercepted the trader near the shop.
The suspects threatened him at gunpoint and forced access to the vehicle.
They opened the trunk and removed the cash before fleeing the scene.
No injuries were immediately reported during the robbery.
The incident has raised concerns about the security of traders carrying large amounts of cash in commercial areas.
Police registered a case after receiving the traderโs complaint.

Investigators have launched efforts to identify and arrest the suspects.
