Ariana Grande has criticised the Trump administration again after its TikTok account used her music without her permission. Team Trump posted a video featuring President Donald Trump walking toward a podium while her 2024 hit โWe Canโt Be Friendsโ played.
The video included statements about gender and womenโs sports. Grande responded directly, demanding that the administration never use her music again.
Grande Objects to Music Use
According to Deadline, Grandeโs record label is working to remove the song from the TikTok post.
This marks the second time in two months that the singer has challenged the administration over her music.
In June, Grande criticised the White House for using her song โByeโ in a video showing ICE arrests.
She called the content inhumane and demanded that officials stop linking her music to immigration enforcement.
The White House later removed her comment while defending its immigration policies.
Pop Stars Push Back
Grande has also criticised the administrationโs immigration and LGBTQ+ policies over the past year.
Meanwhile, she has joined other major artists who objected to Trump-related use of their music.
Beyoncรฉ, Celine Dion, Rihanna and Sabrina Carpenter have also raised similar concerns.
Grande is currently concluding her Eternal Sunshine Tour following the release of her seventh studio album, Petal.
The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in July with 295,000 equivalent album units.
