Apple is preparing for its highly anticipated annual launch event on September 9, where it will unveil the iPhone 17 lineup, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max.
While excitement continues to build around these devices, a new hands-on video has surfaced from China, allegedly showing the iPhone 17 Pro Max during production.
The video first appeared on Chinese social media platform Weibo with a caption that translates to: “Something big has happened, the suspected iPhone 17 Pro Max mass production machine has been leaked.” It was later reported by GSMArena, drawing widespread attention from tech enthusiasts worldwide.
The leaked footage appears to show someone handling a silver-colored device resembling the iPhone 17 Pro Max on what seems to be a production line. The video offers one of the clearest looks yet at Apple’s upcoming flagship device. Among the most noticeable design elements is the rear camera system.
The Pro Max features an expansive camera island stretching almost across the entire width of the phone. Within this panel, three large camera lenses are positioned in a triangular setup on the left, while two smaller sensors appear on the right side.
Contrary to earlier speculation, the Apple logo remains centered on the back of the device and has not been shifted downward to accommodate the enlarged camera island. Another notable design feature is an outlined rear panel that blends seamlessly into the camera island, covering much of the phone’s back and giving it a more integrated appearance.
Still, questions remain about the authenticity of this video. Apple prototypes have surfaced in leaks before, often fueling speculation that does not always align with the final product.
With just days left before Apple officially reveals the iPhone 17 series, it will soon become clear how many of these rumored details will materialize in the final design.
