ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad today extended pre-arrest bail of PTI chairman Imran Khan till Sept 12.
Judge Raja Jawad Abbas of the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad extended the bail when Imran Khan appeared in the court personally.
PTI chairman reached the anti-terrorism court along with other PTI leaders and security guards.

Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad summoned Imran Khan in connection with his bail application in the terrorism case for threatening female judge Zeba Chaudhry and top police officials of Islamabad.
Judge Raja Jawad Abbas of the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad has directed Babar Awan to ensure PTI chairman appears in the court for extension in his pre-arrest bail in terrorism case.

Babar Awan, PTI leader and lawyer of Imran Khan, submitted an application in the court for extension in pre-arrest bail of Imran Khan, but Judge Raja Jawad Abbas turned down the plea saying Imran Khan must appear in the court to get further bail.
Therefore, the PTI leaders assured the court that PTI chairman Imran Khan will appear in the court. They, nonetheless, expressed the fear that Khan was facing threats to his life and that the government and Islamabad police will be responsible for the security of the PTI chairman.
A day earlier, Imran Khan appeared in the Islamabad High Court in contempt of court case in which the IHC gave him seven days deadline to submit afresh reply in the court regarding the show-cause the court had issued to him.
IHC chief justice Athar Minallah expressed displeasure over the reply the PTI leader Imran Khan has submitted in the court in response to show-cause notice.
